Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi Partners with Friends of Cancer Patients for the Third Edition of #RideWithRixos on World Cancer Day
In a significant step towards supporting the global fight against cancer, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi proudly announces its partnership with Friends of Cancer Patients for the third edition of #RideWithRixos, a community-driven cycling event scheduled to take place on Sunday, 4th February 2024, from 06:45 am to 9:00 am.
The event, which has garnered immense popularity in its previous editions, promises to be an inspiring and impactful gathering of individuals dedicated to fostering positive change. Alongside the exhilarating ride, participants will have the chance to avail themselves of FREE health consultations offered by the Friends of Cancer Patients Breast Cancer Mobile Screening Clinic.
Moreover, a cancer survivor from FOCP will share their personal journey during the event, shedding light on the motivations that propelled them towards recovery.
This collaborative endeavor seeks to unite the community in a shared commitment to physical wellness and supporting cancer survivors. As the event’s refreshment partner, Yala Kombucha, a natural draft soda infused with tea, herbs, dried berries, and fruits, will be on hand to enhance the experience. With its casual and refreshing appeal, boasting a range of flavors from fruits and berries to floral and aromatic, to citrusy and spicy, Yala Kombucha will keep participants energised and hydrated throughout the ride.
To actively participate in #RideWithRixos, it is essential to bring your own bike and helmet. Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi believes in fostering a sense of community and making a meaningful difference, and this event exemplifies that commitment. Event program flow:
6:45 AM – Meeting point at the Hotel entrance with Welcome Drinks (juice, coffee, water, small bites)
6:55 AM – Opening speech and the event brief
7:00 AM – Special Speech for the Director of Friends of Cancer Patients, Aisha Al Mulla and an honorable Cancer Survivor
7:05 AM – Warm-up with Exclusive Fitness Club
7:15 AM – Start of the ride (20-kilometer route)
8:15 AM – Back to the meeting point at the hotel entrance for refreshments and refuel
