World health organization (WHO)
We had invited our employees and customers to participate in NO TOBACCO DAY by WHO on May 31, 2017 to reduce the risk of health problems due to smoking plus help lessen air, land and water pollution.
Emirates environmental group (EEG)
The plan was to collect 75 pcs of used or old cellphones whether working or not to be donated to the charity for 2 weeks. A certification had been awarded plus a tree had been planted in the name of “Seven Emirates Investment LLC”.
We have been “turn off” all the lights then pull up those blinds every day during lunch time which is 12:30PM –1:30PM to save energy and help lessen carbon emission. This way, we can save about 6% on our electric bill.
Brown Paper bags
During Fridays and Saturdays, we ask all the people working in the store to use BROWN PAPER BAG as a replacement for plastics specifically for small items hence asking customers if they need plastics would be more helpful.
Store staff should encourage all customers to use eco-bag or reusable bag whenever they buy something from us to lessen the use of plastics which might cause more pollution as it is today.
No printing today
To save papers and throwing empty cartridge, we came up with “No Printing Day” which is not allowing anyone to print anything on a specific day. If they need to print anything they should do it a day before this day.
Car Free Day
We had informed our employees on July 30 ,2017 to use public transport to reach office and stores. Thus by saving emission of carbon di-oxide and to protect the environment and natural resources.
Emirates red crescent
Aside from our existing charity box from Emirates Red Crescent, we are planning to appeal to the public to share their new or old books and clothes so we can donate them to those unfortunate refugees.
